The Timecard is considered a legal document. Knowingly and willingly signing a false timecard or altering a signed timecard without the employee's knowledge and consent is a crime. Each Weekly Time Card Record should be signed by the employee by Monday morning. Employees should fill out their time cards in half hour increments after hours have been worked in order to meet Government time reporting guidelines. The timecard must be completed on a contemporaneous basis. Completing your timesheet at the close of every business day or first thing the next morning is a requirement. You cannot place time on your timesheet in future days.
